This Privacy Policy describes how Tab Translate products handle information for their browser extensions and website.
To ensure clarity, we will use the term "Tab Translate products" to refer to both the Tab Translate browser extensions and the Tab Translate website throughout this document.
By installing and using Tab Translate products, you agree to the current Privacy Policy. Please read this policy carefully.
USER ACCOUNTS
You do not need to create a user account or provide any personal information to use Tab Translate products.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Tab Translate products do not collect any personal information about you (such as your name, email address, etc.). They do not collect or report back to us (or anyone else) any data about your computer activities or other data not related to the services provided.
NO ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED to use Tab Translate products.
Like with other web services, when you visit a website or make web requests, our servers (Tab Translate products) automatically receive certain information from your browser, such as your IP address or User-Agent. However, we want to clarify that we do not collect or process this data.
COOKIES
Tab Translate products do not use cookies.
PROCESSING DATA IN TAB TRANSLATE PRODUCTS
To provide translation and text-to-speech (TTS) functionality, Tab Translate extensions retrieve the user's selected text or page URL and send a request to the Google API. We do not access or collect this data.
Tab Translate products also have and use their own API for providing information about possible issues, changes or new features in future updates. This API does not require any user data at all and is only used to provide informational notifications.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
Tab Translate products do not contain or integrate any third-party content.
UNINSTALLING/REMOVING TAB TRANSLATE PRODUCTS
Tab Translate extensions work in all browsers that support Manifest V3 (MV3) and can be easily removed from each of them:
For browsers based on Chromium engine:
1) Go to the Chromium Extensions Page (chrome://extensions/).
2) Select extension(or extensions) that you want to remove.
3) Click "REMOVE" button.
For FireFox browser:
1) Go to the Addons Page (about:addons).
2) Select "Extensions" field.
3) Select extension(or extensions) that you want to remove.
4) Click "REMOVE" button.
CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. In the event of an update, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy document.
You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of changes.
